Now through December 8, Foxwoods will be collecting new, unwrapped children’s toys, blankets, pajamas, jackets and diapers, etc. from guests, team members, and the public. All items collected will go to area families in need with proceeds from the drive benefitting the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and its holiday giving program.

This morning at 10am, members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council kicked off the three-week campaign. Rodney Butler, Chairman; Fatima Dames, Vice Chairwoman; Jean Swift, Tribal Council Treasurer; Crystal Whipple, Councilor; and Steven Colebut; councilor placed the first items on the Foxwoods  bus.

“Foxwoods is thrilled to give back with our first annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ campaign,” said John Voisinet, Director of Bus Marketing, whose team was responsible for initiating the event. “We look forward to bringing some much-deserved cheer to local families this holiday season and we are especially excited to have our team members, guests, and the public join us in our effort to bring joy to our community.”

From November 18 through December 8, a Foxwoods bus will be parked in Bay #1 of the Foxwoods Bus Terminal where patrons and members of the public can drop off donation items. Additional drop-off locations can be found inside the Bus Lobby, at the Tree House Arcade, and MGM Grand at Foxwoods Hotel Lobby. Donations will be accepted daily from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.
