FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO ANNOUNCES EXCITING FEBRUARY ENTERTAINMENT CALENDAR

Foxwoods Resort Casino is announcing its February Entertainment calendar, full of fun and exciting events for the entire family. From the intimate settings of two state-of-the-art theaters where there is not a bad seat in the house to the highest in sound quality and comfort make for a superior concert experience – Foxwoods has something for everyone.

AMERICAN STORM

WHEN:  February 6 & 7, 8:00 PM

WHERE: Fox Theater

American Storm is known for being the “Sexiest Show on the Las Vegas Strip” by Where Magazine. This 75 minute, fully costumed and choreographed production is sure to have women wanting more as these hard bodied performers live out every woman’s dream from a lonely cowboy to the proud man in uniform. The American Storm boys have graced the covers of such magazines as Muscle and FitnessFitnessRX, and Playgirl to name a few. This is one ladies night out that you won’t soon forget! Adult audiences. CRAIG FERGUSON

WHEN:  February 13, 9:00 PM

WHERE: Grand Theater

Craig Ferguson entered the world of late night comedy following a diverse and eclectic career. Since taking the helm of CBS’s THE LATE LATE SHOW in 2005, the show has set all-time viewer records in the nine years that it has been on the air. CELEBRITY NAME GAME recently debuted with Ferguson as host and puts celebrities on the spot as they compete to identify famous names based on improvised clues. Ferguson came into his own on the THE LATE LATE SHOW, winning his first Emmy nomination in 2006. Ferguson has also become a huge success on the North American comedy circuit. In the summer of 2013, Ferguson released his third comedy album I’m Here to Help, garnering him a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. The stand-up special premiered on Netflix and was later released on DVD. Tickets for the show range $45 - $65.

Jim Norton is a comedian living in New York who has appeared in multiple television shows and recorded 5 stand-up comedy specials. He is a 2-time New York Times bestselling author and the host of THE JIM NORTON SHOW, a talk show, on Vice.com. He is currently preparing to record his 6th live special. Mature Audiences. AN EVENING OF LOVE - Ginuwine, RL from Next, Jon B., After 7 & Silk

WHEN:  February 14, 8:00 PM

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the romantic styling of GinuwineRLfrom NextJon B., After 7 and Silk in an evening of love and R&B. Ginuwine topped the R&B charts with his hits “Pony” and “Differences.” The multi-platinum selling R&B group Next has been entertaining fans with their soulful voices for over 15 years. Their song, “Too Close” became a massive hit topping the Billboard Year End charts in 1998. Jon B. released his debut album, Bonafidein 1995 after writing hits for Michael Jackson and Toni Braxton. The trio group, After 7 is best known for their elegant vocal style and array of smash hits. R&B quintet Silk has sold over 5 million albums since their debut in 1992 and are best known for their sensual hits “Freak Me” and “Meeting in My Bedroom.” Join all these stars of R&B for one night only in an intimate evening of love and romance. COMIX PRESENTS PAUL REISER

WHEN:  February 14, 8:00 PM

WHERE: Fox Theater

A seasoned actor, writer, producer and stand-up comedian, Paul Reiser continues to add to his list of accomplishments. He co-created and starred in the critically acclaimed NBC series MAD ABOUT YOU, which garnered him multiple Emmy & Golden Globe nominations. Continuing this trend, Reiser will star in David Gordon Green’s new series for Amazon, RED OAKS, where he plays “Getty,” a wealthy country club socialite. He will recur in Andrew Gurland’s FX series MARRIED and will appear in the independent feature 6 MIRANDA DRIVE, opposite Kevin Bacon, and will finish the year starring in BEG THE DEVIL. Also being released this year are LIFE AFTER BETH, a horror-comedy and WHIPLASH. Reiser’s successes also include his books Couplehood and Babyhood which features his trademark humorous take on the adventures of life. Mature Audiences. Tickets for the show range $30 - $50.

 

LION FIGHT 20

WHEN:  February 20, 7:00 PM

WHERE: Fox Theater

Lion Fight Promotions will be the fourth show put on at Foxwoods Resort Casino. Lion Fight welcomes back to the U.S., Jorina Baars, to defend the Women's Welterweight title against top Italian female Muay Thai Fighter, Chantal Ughi. In the Co-Main event, Chris Mauceri, will take on the young and strong Thai fighter Sittisak, (representing Thai Top Team), which will be another fight the fans will be excited to see for its nonstop Muay Thai action. The card will also feature east coast favorites and signed fighters including Tim Amorim, Tom Evans, Julio Pena, Jason Andrada and Gaston Bolanos. Tickets for the show are $25 - $95.

 

COMIX PRESENTS STEVE RANNAZZISI

WHEN:  February 20, 7:00 PM

WHERE: Fox Theater

Steve Rannazzisi plays "Kevin," the League Commissioner on FX’s hit show THE LEAGUE. He started The League because he thought it would be fun but now has realized it just means babysitting seven more children. Actor/comedian Rannazzisi got his first taste of television success in 2003 as one of the cast members on MTV's PUNK’D. He honed his skills at the world-famous Comedy Store amongst some of the most prolific comics in the business, such as Eddie Griffin, Joe Rogan and Andrew Dice Clay. Steve starred opposite Kevin James in the Sony Pictures blockbuster comedy PAUL BLART: MALL COP. Steve was cast as the leading character of "Stuart," the manager of the Pen store in a Mall that gets taken over in a robbery heist. Steve has also performed on Comedy Central's PREMIUM BLEND, and appeared in the feature films SUMMER OF SAM & FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. Mature Audiences. Tickets for the show range $25 - $55.

 

COMIX PRESENTS THE DAN BAND

What started as a drunken joke for Dan Finnerty singing at a karaoke bar and as the inappropriate wedding singer in the record breaking hit THE HANGOVER has spiraled out of control into THE DAN BAND - a cult phenomenon that has garnered rave reviews from The New York TimesThe L.A. TimesVarietyRolling Stone among others, and prompted Entertainment Weekly to dub it “The hottest ticket in Hollywood.” THE DAN BAND plays to sold out crowds from Los Angeles to New York and has appeared on numerous shows including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ellen, The Late Late Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing, The Guys Choice Awards and caught the attention of Steven Spielberg, who signed on to executive produce Dan's one hour concert special “The Dan Band: I Am Woman,” directed by McG. Mature Audiences. 70'S SOUL JAM featuring The Stylistics, The Chi-Lites, The Manhattans, The Dramatics, The Delfonics, Bloodstone & Heatwave

WHEN:  February 28, 8:00 PM

WHERE: Fox Theater

The Stylistics are one of the best-known Philadelphia soul groups of the 70’s having had twelve consecutive R&B top 10 hits including, “Stop, Look, Listen,” “You Are Everything” and “You Make Me Feel Brand New.” The Chicago based Chi-Lites are the smooth vocal quartet who scored major success with the #1 singles, “Have You Seen Her” and “Oh Girl.” The Manhattans were discovered at Amateur Night at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York; not long after their first major hit “I Wanna Be (Your Everything)” topped the R&B and pop charts. The Dramatics formed in Detroit in the late 60’s and achieved chart success with “In The Rain” and “Whatcha See Is Watcha Get.” The Delfonics were one of the first groups to sing in the sleek, soulful style that became popularized as the “Philadelphia sound.” Bloodstone were instrumental in the “black rock” movement of the ‘70’s fusing both soul and funk grooves into their thirteen chart hits including the platinum selling, “Natural High.” Heatwave is one of the most popular soul bands of the past few decades with their inimitable blend of sweet soul grooves having had a string of chart topping hits including “Mind Blowing Decisions,” “Boogie Nights” and the all-time classic, “Always & Forever.” Tickets for the show range $49.50 & $64.50.
