FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO ANNOUNCES APRIL ENTERTAINMENT LINE UP

MASHANTUCKET, CT (March 21, 2017) –  Foxwoods® Resort Casino, the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination, is springing into the season this April with star-studded performances at the Grand and Fox Theaters. From acclaimed musical artists, to comedic trendsetters and renowned circus troupe performances, audiences of all ages can enjoy the Wonder Of It All at Foxwoods this month! For some after-hours fun, head to SHRINE where the hottest EDM DJs will be spinning their favorite tracks on the turntables.

Zucchero:  Black Cat World Tour 2017

WHEN: April 2, 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

Coined “the father of the Italian blues,” singer-songwriter Zucchero was the first musician to introduce this soulful genre of music to the big stage in Italy. An international success with a career spanning three decades, Zucchero continues to perform on stages across the globe singing his classic hits and songs from his 2016 album release, “Black Cat.” Tickets are $60, $80 and $100.

 

Prince Fox

WHEN: April 4, 9:00 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

EDM superstar Prince Fox strives to bring deeper meaning to his music with his masterfully crafted dance tracks. Tickets are $15.

 

Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra: Jesus Christ Superstar

WHEN: April 7 and April 8, 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

1970s British rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar features music by world-famous composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, and lyrics by GRAMMY Award-winning lyricist Tim Rice. This contemporary rock spectacle is heading to the Fox Theater to showcase its sung-through performance with epic lighting and thunderous sound. Tickets are $20 and $35.

 

Marc Anthony

WHEN: April 8, 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

A two-time GRAMMY Award winner and Billboard Hall of Fame member, Marc Anthony has earned the title as the most influential salsa artist of his time. Anthony is a global ambassador of Latin music who has sold over 12 million albums worldwide and had 26 Billboard chart hits including “Vivir Mi Vida” and “I Need to Know.” Tickets are $147 and $227.

 

Cirque Éloize Cirkopolis

WHEN: April 11 through April 15, Show times vary

WHERE: Fox Theater

Leading contemporary circus troupe Cirque Éloize is heading back to Foxwoods to premiere their latest creation, Cirkopolis, at the Fox Theater. Inspired by the classic film Metropolis, Cirkopolis combines the circus, theater and dance through inventive staging accompanied by music and dream video projections. Tickets are $25 and $35 VIP.

 

Elephante

WHEN: April 11, 9:00 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

Tim Wu, commonly referred to by his stage name Elephante, first gained recognition for his original track remixes of songs by artists like Clean Bandit and Lorde, and went on to debut his full-length EP “I Am the Elephante” in 2016. Tickets are $15.

 

Kap Slap

WHEN: April 18, 9:00 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

Jared Lucas, aka Kap Slap, began making electronic dance music in 2010 in the confines of his dorm room. By blending Top 40 tracks with undiscovered electronic instrumentals, Kap Slap introduced a genre of EDM that has become widely popular in mainstream music today. Tickets are $15.

 

Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles

WHEN: April 21 and April 22, 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

A live multi-media spectacular, Rain takes audiences on a musical journey through the life and times of the world’s most celebrated band. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club, the show will feature an expanded section to honor the album. Tickets are $45 and $60.

 

Ruff Ryder Reunion and Friends

WHEN: April 22, 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

The Ruff Ryders are reuniting on stage with performances by multi-platinum artists including Eve, DMX, Swizz Beatz, The Lox and Drag-On. The Ruff Ryders will make hip-hop history performing their biggest hits like “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” “What’s My Name,” “Wild Out” and more. Tickets are $88, $108 and $178.

 

Steve Winwood

WHEN: April 28, 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

For over 40 years, Steve Winwood has remained a primary figure in the rock and roll industry as a respected innovator who helped to create some of the genre’s most celebrated achievements. From his success in the Spencer Davis Group to his bold solo debut, fans acclaim Winwood for hits like “Higher Love” and “Roll With It.” Tickets are $35 and $55.

 

Sarah Silverman

WHEN: April 29, 8:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

New Hampshire native Sarah Silverman is a two-time Emmy Award-winner and one of the most versatile talents in the entertainment industry. Seen on big and small screens in her latest roles in “I Smile Back” and her Golden Globe-nominated Showtime series “Masters of Sex,” Silverman continues to cement her status as a force in comedy by touring her stand-up routine nationwide. Ozuna Odisea Worldwide Tour with Jory Boy and Natti Natasha

WHEN: April 29, 11:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

Jan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, professionally known as Ozuna, is a reggaetón singer and songwriter from Puerto Rico. He will be joined onstage by Jory Boy and Natti Natasha for a night of authentic reggaetón beats not to be missed. Tickets are $57 and $77.  

 

The Fray

WHEN: April 30, 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

The Fray achieved national success with their first album single "Over My Head (Cable Car)" topping the Billboard Hot 100 charts for weeks. Their 2009 self-titled album release “The Fray” garnered the group international success and earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Tickets are $40 and $55.
