Foxwoods Resort Casino, North America’s largest resort casino, is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a special “Get ShamRocked Pub Crawl” featuring dining and drink specials. For the entire month of March, happy hour specials will be available every day from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Cedars Bar and Lounge, Halo, Center Bar, and Atrium Lounge.


On Tuesday, March 17, The Box will serve as the “Get ShamRocked Pub Crawl” headquarters, and will be transformed into an Irish Bar exclusively for St. Patrick’s Day. Guests may purchase bracelets for $10 to participate in the pub crawl, which includes food and beverage specials at several hot spots such as Hard Rock Café, High Rollers, Scorpion Bar, Shrine, and Alta Strada. DJ Rich Money Beatz will also get the party started as the featured DJ of the night at The Box. 


The “Get ShamRocked Pub Crawl” continues at Hard Rock Café with half priced appetizers and drink specials.  Guests sporting a pub crawl bracelet will receive a complimentary Hard Rock Glass souvenir. 


Meanwhile, at High Rollers, guests will enjoy their favorite Irish cuisine with a twist including Candied Corned Beef Lollipops with Potato Puree, Red Cabbage and Beet Greens or Corned Beef and Potato Pizza with Swiss Cheese, Caraway and Brown Sugar Sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. For dessert, guests will have a choice of Irish Coffee Cupcakes, Kahlua Cupcakes, Jameson Whipped Cream Filling, as well as Guinness Frosting. 


High Rollers, Scorpion Bar, and Shrine will also feature Jameson Cocktails, and festive Shamrock Martinis will also be served at Cedars Bar and Lounge, Halo, Atrium Lounge, and Center Bar. 


For more traditional Irish meals, guests will enjoy Split Pea Soup and Corned Beef and Cabbage dinners at Cedars Lounge and Veranda Café. The Hampton and Newport Lounges will also feature carved Corned Beef, Lamb Stew, Boiled Potatoes and Cabbage, and the  Festival Buffet will serve Sliced Corned Beef, Boiled potatoes, Braised Cabbage, Stuffed Pork Loin, Prime Rib, Lamb Sheppard’s Pie and Crab Clusters. 


At the Fox Theater, The Griffith Celtic Dance Company will perform for guests free of charge at 7:00 p.m. This group is comprised of championship dancers from the Griffith Academy in Wethersfield, Connecticut. The Academy, founded by the late Mary Ann Griffith, has been training students in Irish Dance for over 60 years and has produced many National and World Champions as well as professional dancers on Broadway. Many company members have toured professionally with "Riverdance" and "Lord of the Dance." Under the direction of Mary Beth Griffith, the Academy continues to be one of the top-ranking schools of Irish Dance in the nation. The Company has performed all over New England, both in person and on television.
