Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine will visit Foxwoods Resort Casino on Wednesday, December 10 at 1:00pm to officially launch Savor – A celebration of Wine, Food & Spirits, taking place at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford from April 10-11, 2015. Presented by Foxwoods Resort Casino, this two-day celebration of fine food and wine will spotlight some of the world’s top culinary talent including Robert Irvine, host of Restaurant: Impossible on Food Network, who will be joined by other celebrated chefs and world-renowned vintners sharing their expertise. Tickets for Savor are currently on sale, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the newly created Robert Irvine Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that honors the men and women serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. The foundation supports individual military personnel (active, retired and veterans) and their families as well as organizations that support such individuals, including Helmets to Hardhats.

Savor kicks-off on Friday, April 10 with a Grand Tasting at 7:00pm featuring signature dishes from Connecticut's leading chefs alongside a seemingly endless variety of highly sought-after wines, the world's finest craft beers and superior spirits - all included in the single cost of admission. Guests will enjoy strolling through an impressive spread of fine food and wine, as well as relaxing in a series of spirit lounges to fully savor the experience. 


The Savor Kitchen Demonstration Stage showcases culinary powerhouses throughout the weekend, including Chef Irvine, who will be joined by world-renowned vintners and other celebrities including Mary Ann Esposito, creator and host of television's longest running cooking series, Ciao Italia with Mary Ann Esposito™ and Elizabeth Falkner, James Beard Foundation Award nominee and Iron Chef America favorite. 


After demonstrating their signature dishes for a live audience, the fantastic line-up of chefs will be standing by to answer questions and sign copies of their latest cookbooks.  The Savor Grand Tasting continues on Saturday, April 11 at 12:00pm with more food and wine tastings and expert culinary demonstrations on the main stage. 


Then, on Saturday, April 11, style meets substance at the Savor in Style Charity Gala. Celebrity chef host Irvine, along with Esposito, Falkner and prominent regional chefs Tyler Anderson, Billy Grant, Jeffrey Lizotte and others, will work together with widely known winemakers to present a grand dine-around affair. Following the Chandon Sparkling Reception from 7:30pm to 8:00pm, these culinary masters will lavish guests with their sumptuous creations, where every dish will be paired with an exceptional wine or other luscious libation. This is the perfect opportunity to see artistic and culinary genius up-close!
