Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest resort casino in North America, is proud to welcome international singing sensation, Celtic Thunder, during their first ever U.S. Symphony Tour. The globally acclaimed group will perform songs from their 2013 chart-topping album Christmas Voices accompanied by instrumentals of a full symphony orchestra, December 5 at 8 p.m. in the Grand Theater.

The Symphony Tour features holiday favorites including traditional carols such as Away in A Manger and O Holy Night to more contemporary verses Mary’s Boy Child and Fairytale of New York. Celtic Thunder’s four male soloists Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, Neil Byrne and Colm Keegan will perform solo and ensemble numbers, including signature Celtic Thunder hit songs Ireland’s Call and Turning Away as well as traditional Irish numbers Dulaman and My Land.


Twice hailed as BILLBOARD’s Top World Music Artist and Top World Imprint (2009 and 2011), the phenomenon that is Celtic Thunder has achieved sales of over 2 million copies to date. Celtic Thunder also continues to extensively tour the USA, Canada and Australia, performing for more than 700,000 fans over the past six years. Their mass appeal and devoted fan base continues to grow with impressive statistics to prove it. Celtic Thunder’s official YouTube channel, “Thunder Tube” has seen over 28 million-upload views since the channel’s inception in 2008. Celtic Thunder has performed at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama, at the Pentagon for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as on the CBS Saturday Show’s Second Cup Café, the TODAY Show, and Fox and Friends.


The performance at Foxwoods is a part of group’s 8th tour of the USA since its launch in 2008. That same year, Celtic Thunder aired their first Public Television special and has since consistently remained one of the most popular musical shows for stations throughout the US.
