Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest resort casino in North America, welcomes Grammy Award-winning rock star and former Van Halen front-man Sammy Hagar on August 2 at 8:00 P.M. The show, “A Journey Through the History of Rock,” featuring Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson is sure to rock the stage at the Grand Theater.

Hagar has been redefining rock and roll music for almost 40 years with classic rock anthems including “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Right Now,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love.” Hagar began his career as the lead singer of the band Montrose. Following a string of eight solo albums and sold out concerts nationwide, Hagar joined legendary rock band Van Halen in 1985. With Hagar at the front, Van Halen produced four multi-platinum albums and nine #1 Mainstream Rock hits before the band split in 1996. Hagar later returned to Van Halen to lead their 2004 reunion tour. 

Most recently, Hagar was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Van Halen bandmates in 2007 and is currently on his fourth platinum run with his latest supergroup, Chickenfoot. Their debut album was released in June 2009 and landed at #4 on the Billboard Music Chart. Today, Hagar continues to tour around the world with both of his bands Chickenfoot and Sammy and the Wabos.
