KELSEY MONTAGUE MURAL
Foxwoods has teamed up with global artist and viral sensation Kelsey Montague to paint a one-of-a-kind mural. You may know Kelsey from her #WhatLiftsYou Wings on the streets of Nashville and beyond, or her collaboration with famous singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. Kelsey’s large-scale, interactive street murals are known around the world for allowing people to step into her work and becoming a living piece of art.
The Arbor Swing, adorned with the flowers of each of the fifty states, represents our strength in unity, appreciation for our community and hopefulness as we look toward the future. The Pequot elements woven throughout – including the Mashantucket Cedar Swamp rhododendrons, lady slipper orchids, basket weaving patterns and our Tribal symbol – are meant to honor Mashantucket, the land upon which this mural sits and the Pequot People. Take a moment to find peace and gratitude in your heart as we move forward into a brighter tomorrow.
